BWD Guide 2: Omnotron Defense System

Together with Magmaw, Omnotron Defense System ("ODS") is available right after enetering Blackwing Descent raid instance. In this encounter you have to fight with 4 golems, each has its own unique abilities and only 2 of them are active at same time. These golems shares their hp pool. Golem can be in one of four modes - active, shielded, charging and deactive.
As raid enters the room, one of golems is activated and fights, in same time other one is charging its power. When energy of active golem falls from 100 to 50, this golem casts its shield, golem who was charging becomes active and another one is starting its charging process. On next 50 energy swap, shielded golem becomes deactivated and others get their new phases. This repeats till end, so you except the start, you will always have one golem active, one shielded, one charging and one deactivated.

Arcanatron:

  • Power Generator: Arcanotron summons a blue void zone under itself, which increases damage of all units standing in its 5yard range by 50% and restores 250 mana every 0.5s. Tank has to move Arcanatron from void zone, but ideally just to melee range, so melees can profit from its 50% damage boost. Ranged should stand in zone all the time.
  • Arcane Annihilator: 1,5s cast time spell which deals 48.750 - 51.250 arcane damage. Spell seems to be at 7-8sec CD, so there should be two interrupting characters swaping in interruption cycle.
  • Power Conversion: Arcanatrons shield, it increases Arcanatron's magic damage and attack speed every time, he is hit.

 

Electron:

  • Lightning Conductor: This is a debuff spell, which electron casts on random target from raid. Debuff deals 24.375 - 25.625 nature damage to all friendly units every 2 seconds in close range, except target. Debuff range is unfortunatelly unknown, but can be seen as a white pulsing circle under target. Debuffed player has to move away from other players.
  • Electrical Discharge: is chain-lightning type instant spell which deals 29.250 - 30.750 nature damage to up to 3 targets in 8 yards range. This is the reason why raid has to be spreaded in 8y range during Electrons active/shield phase.
  • Unstable Shield: Electrons shield deals AoE 58.500 - 61.500 nature damage everytime he is hit.

 

Magmatron:

  • Incineration Security Measure: This is AoE damage spell which can not be prevented. Deals 14.625 - 15.375 fire damage every 1 sec, duration is 4 sec. Just heal it through.
  • Acquiring Target: 4 sec channel cast and targets only one player at random. During the channeling raid has to spread away from target to not get hit by this spell. After channeling, target will be fired by Flamethrower spell dealing massive fire damage in cone shape. Heal target and everyone get away. Target has to stand still on spot to not make chaos in room, you can not avoid the damage if you are targeted.
  • Barrier: Magmatrons shield absorbs 150.000 dmage and if it is broken, it deals 73.125 - 76.875 fire damage to whole raid.

 

Toxitron:

  • Chemical Bomb: random target spell, which triggers gas cloud. It doubles damage taken to ALL targets standing in it - move the boss in and all raid members get out of cloud.
  • Poison Protocol: is summoning spell. There appears three Poison Bombs under the boss, that will fixate on random targets except the tank. If they reach their target they will explode dealing massive AoE damage. They have 116.235hp and can be slowed, snared. Fixated targets can still attack other two bombs, they wont trigger them. Kite these bombs and dps them down quickly.
  • Poison Soaked Shell: Toxitrons shield deals.

 

Tactics:

Two tanks tank their bosses each on other half of the room. Dpsers are targeting always only active golem, do not attack shielded one, or you will triggr some nasty effects. Dont forget that even if golem is shielded, he still uses his attacks. This fight is mostly about moving and not making panic. Arcanatron needs two interrupters, on Electron spread out into 8yard distance, kite Toxitrons bombs and do not panic and stand still if you are target of Magmatron flamethrower.
It really helps if tanks can position the boss correctly /toxitron into gas cloud and arcanatron just behind the border of power generator/.
